[Breaking] Jaxa Slim has landed
from the news conference
Slim has successfully landed on the moon surface. The control center in Japan is able to communicate with the landing vehicle and commands are confirmed.
Also the separation and landing of the second module has been confirmed.
However, current status is that there is no energy generated by the vehicle itself, indicating that the solar panels are not functional. The vehicle is currently powered by battery.
Jaxa will continue to collect data and analyse these in the coming days, expecting to have more information next week.
